History Talk: Our Cycling Suffragette 21st July

A symbol of women’s emancipation since the 1890s,  the bicycle proved useful to the suffrage campaign. As part of Merton History Month, this talk by MCC's very own Hugh Morgan will feature the country’s most significant and influential cycling suffragette – Merton and Wimbledon campaigner, Rose Lamartine Yates.

It's completely free but please RSVP so they can plan for chairs and refreshments: tel. 020 8545 3239 or email: local.studies@merton.gov.uk
